Things To Do
There's so much to do around Intake that you'll be kept very busy, even if the weather is mixed... This is a tiny selection of suggestions, things that we like doing.

Walking
Walking is probably the most popular pastime in the countryside around Intake. Alltrails will no doubt provide plenty of inspiration, but we love the walks around Hackfall - varying lengths, all circular, a lovely river and waterfall - as well as walking through the moor from Tom Corner out to the small waterfall.

Sights & entertainment
7th century Ripon Cathedral, Fountains Abbey the dissolution of which was ordered by Henry VIII in 1539, Brimham Rocks with its striking rock formations that sprout from the moors. Or for the younger ones, Lightwater Valley and The Forbidden Corner.

Eating & Drinking
Everyone likes different things to eat & drink. We love the Black Sheep brewery in Masham for its delicious variety of beers brewed on site next to the fun bar. People in search of the highest quality fine dining won't be disappointed either - Grantley Hall has a number of superb restaurants including Michelin-starred Shaun Rankin. Or for more of a gastropub experience, we love the Sportsmans Arms at nearby Wath.
